Russian ministry said that it follows situation with subsidiary of MTS in Uzbekistan, Uzdunrobita. The Uzbek Agency for Communication and Information suspended license of the company for 10 (working) days.
The Ministry said that it submitted its concern to the Uzbek side over arrest of acting director general R.Dautov, a citizen of Russia, as it is harsh decision.
It added that Russian Embassy in Uzbekistan supports contact with the Uzbek side on the issue. Consular employees of the Embassy have access to Mr. Dautov, who is in good moral and psychological condition. It added that conditions in jail do not disgrace him. He has no complaints, including to health. Behavior of jail administration is correct. Lawyers are attracted at holding investigation actions against Mr. Dautov.
The Ministry expressed its assurance the problem related to the citizen of Russia and MTS subsidiary will be solved soon in spirit of the Uzbek-Russian strategic and allied partnership relations. It added that the solution of the problem will meet interest of both sides and will not harm of investment cooperation of two nations.
