The issues of cooperation with Sasol Limited, which is is carrying out a massive investment project in Kashkadarya region jointly with Uzbekneftgaz National Holding Company and Malaysian Petronas, were discussed at the meeting.

It is expected that the plant will produce a 38,000 barrel-a-day (1.5 million tonnes per year) production of synthetic liquid fuels from natural gas.

Within the framework of his visit to Uzbekistan, the chief executive of Sasol David Constable today oversaw the brand’s official presentation ceremony whereby the project being run by a joint venture has been entitled Oltin Yo'l GTL.

Another ceremonial event has taken place to mark the commencement of external infrastructure facilities within the plant site.
