Children department of National Oncologic Scientific Center reconstructed
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A joint project of Mehr Nuri Foundation, National Association of Breast Cancer “For name of Life!” and Women Council on supporting development of healthcare, reconstruction and equipment of social establishments of Uzbekistan launched Tashkent children department of National Oncologic Scientific Center after six month reconstruction work.
Fund Forum said that the project constructed new building, which was fully equipped with modern equipment for treatment and operation of children. The reconstruction helped to double capacity of the department.
Representatives of National Oncologic Scientific Center, Ministry of Healthcare of Uzbekistan, doctors and journalists participated at the event. The participants had chance to familiarize with the department.
Sarimbek Navruzov, director of National Oncologic Scientific Center, said there was plan to open new building of children department and last year Mehr Nuri offered assistance. The new building has new equipment and tools, designed for diagnosis and treatment of children.
The reconstruction works were conducted from June to December 2011 and new two-story children department building, which is designed for 50 beds. The department now has all conditions for treating children and fully equipped with modern tools and equipment.
