MPs of Legislative Chamber, specialists and experts of ministries and departments, representatives of scientific-research institutes and universities in Tashkent, and NGOs participated at the event.

During the roundtable, participants considered issues of protecting and rational use, restoring population, preserving habitation places of fauna in Uzbekistan, as well as implementing Conventions “On biologic diversification” and “On International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora”.

Participants paid special attention to tasks and goals of changes and amendments to the law “On protecting and using of fauna”. Participants were informed about work carried out in these directions by MPs.

Attendees underlined that the amendments to the Law “On protecting and using fauna” will fill the gaps and eliminate reference rules in the legislation, which will help to harmonize national laws with international ones.
