A delegation of Higher School of Business (HSB) under the Academy for State and Public Construction under the President of Uzbekistan paid a ten-day visit to Germany to familiarize with management experience of the country.

The Uzbek delegation visited Celle from 13 October to 22 October. Celle is a town and capital of the district of Celle, in Lower Saxony, Germany. The town is situated in the southernmost part of the Lüneburg Heath on the banks of the river Aller, a tributary of the Weser.

During the visit, the Uzbek delegation attended several seminars at the German Management Academy of Lower Saxony (DMAN) on such issues as economic policy in the EU, strategic management, judicial system and others.

The delegation of the HSB also visited several local companies, including Schwickert GmbH, Cameron GmbH, MBL Maschinenbaubetriebe Lieb GmbH, Volkswagen AG, etc. At the companies, the Uzbek delegation got acquainted with product development, service management, customer relations and personnel management, as well as marketing.

The visit was organized within UNDP’s project "Improving Public Sector Management Skills through Building Training and Research Capacity of the Higher School of Business under the State Academy for State and Public Construction under the President of Uzbekistan". The project aimed to enhance capacity of the HSB to teach public sector management skills to support the development and effective implementation of the public policy in Uzbekistan.
