Saudi delegation visits Bukhara and Samarkand
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Saudi Arabia led by Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments Da`wah and Guidance Abdulaziz Ammar paid visit to ancient cities of Uzbekistan – Samarkand and Bukhara on 20 September 2011, the press service of the Committee on religion affairs of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said.

The delegation paid visit to historic monuments in Bukhara such as Kukeldash, Devonbegi, Toki Sarrafon, Magoki Attori, Toki Telpakfurushon, Toki Zargaron, Poyi Kalon, Ark and Boloyi.

The guests also visited Mir Arab madrasah, which carries educational activity as secondary special Islamic educational establishment.

The guests familiarized with created conditions for students and noted the environment is ideal for training high skilled Islam scholars.

After the visit to Bukhara, the Saudi delegation headed to Samarkand. The guests visited Memorial complex named after Imam Bukhari and International Center of Imam Bukhari.

During the visit to International Center of Imam Bukhari, Abdulaziz Ammar said that imams should regularly improve their knowledge as only people with knowledge can answer to questions of people.
