Saudi delegation pays visit to Muslims’ Board of Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- A delegation of Saudi Arabia led by Deputy Minister of Islamic Affairs, Endowments Da`wah and Guidance Abdulaziz Ammar paid visit to the Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan on 19 September 2011.

The delegation of Saudi Arabia was accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Saudi Arabia to Uzbekistan Abdurahman bin Abdulla ash-Shae.

Chairman of the Committee on religious affairs under the Cabinet of Ministers Ortiq Yusupov and chairperson of the Board of Muslims of Uzbekistan mufti Usmonhon Alimov received the guests.

Opening the meeting, Ortiq Yusupov welcomed the Saudi delegation. The sides underlined that achievements of two nations in religion were achieved due to independence.

Usmonhon Alimov briefed the Saudi delegation about life of Muslim community in Uzbekistan and attention to spiritual and national traditions and values. It was said that Hazrati Imam complex in Tashkent, Memorial complex of Imam Bukhari in Samarkand and Bahauddin Naqshbandi in Bukhara and others were constructed.

In his turn, Abdulaziz Ammar expressed gratitude to leadership of Uzbekistan for created conditions for Muslims and Islams. Abdulaziz Ammar underlined that Allah sent Qoran to Mecca and Madina, while Hadis to Maverannahr.

Saudi official said that after visiting Tashkent Islam Institute and Tashkent Islam University he is sure that new generation of scholars like Imam Bukhari, Termizi, Maturidi and others can be developed in Uzbekistan.

Abdulaziz Ammar said that Saudi Arabis is closely following development of friendly Uzbekistan. He said that Muslim world is suffering from religious extremism and terrorism and he said the country is ready to cooperate in this direction with all.
