UNESCO to organize sub-regional meeting in Tashkent
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
A sub-regional meeting “Support of standards and procedures of preparing documentation of serial transnational nomination on Silk Road objects in Central Asia to the UNESCO World Heritage” will be held in Tashkent on 20-23 September 2011.
UNESCO Office in Uzbekistan organized the event in partnership with the Cluster Bureau of the UNESCO in Almaty and Main Scientific-Production Management on protection and use of cultural heritage monuments of the Ministry of Culture and Sports of Uzbekistan and Scientific-Research Institute of Art of Uzbekistan Science Academy.
The event is aimed at providing opportunities to the Central Asian states (Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan) independently prepare documents for cultural heritage through creation potential, exchange of technical information, etc.
