Newly appointed Indian envoy holds talks at Uzbekistan’s MFA
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of India to Uzbekistan Anumula Gitesh Sarma held a meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan on 6 September 2011.

The Uzbek ministry said that envoy handed over copy of credentials, addressed to the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov.

During the meeting, it was noted that there is firm foundation, which were laid for long centurie, for development of the Uzbek-Indian relations.

It was underlined the state visit of the Uzbek President Islam Karimov to India on 17-18 May 2011 gave new impulse to bilateral relations. It was added strategic partnership between India and Uzbekistan was established and signed over 30 documents in various areas.

In this contest, the important task is to realize achieved agreement. The sides exchanged opinion on boosting trade-economic and investment cooperation, as well as adopt effective measures for increasing mutual trade and expanding nomenclature of trade turnover.

The sides are also discussed other actual issues of bilateral relations.
