Salaries in Uzbekistan to increase 20% from 16 November

President of Uzbekistan signed a decree on increasing the salaries, pensions, stipends and social allowances on 23 October 2007.

According to the document, starting from 16 November 2007 salaries, pensions, social allowances and stipends will be increased 1.2 times on the average, UzA reported.

The following minimum monthly amounts will be introduced in Uzbekistan:

– salaries: 18,630 soums;
– pensions: 36,900 soums;
– basic (zero) grade on the single tariff scale: 18,630 soums;
– allowances to disabled from childhood: 36,900 soums;
– allowances to elderly and disabled citizens without the required work experience: 22,350 soums.

The expenses related to increase of the salaries, pensions, allowances and stipends will be covered by the State Budget and the Pension Fund under the Finance Ministry of Uzbekistan.
