Fund Forum, which has special Consultative Status with the ECOSOC since 2010, participated at the event along with other international youth organizations and NGOs.

The forum became the final event of the International Youth Year, proclaimed by the UN from August 2010 to August 2011. In line with the resolution 64/134 on its proclamation, the UN member states confirmed significant importance of youth.

At the opening of the forum, the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-moon said: “Our job is to work for them – and with them – to make sure they can inherit the world they want? the world promised by the United Nations Charter, a world built on dialogue and mutual understanding.”

Two roundtables on perspectives of international cooperation on youth issues and assistance to dialogue and mutual understanding, as well as solving problems of youth development for achievement of sustainable development were held within the forum.

During the event Fund Forum presented its activities with youth and youth projects. Overall, some 150 reports were presented at the forum.

At the end of the session, the outcome document of the High-level Meeting on “Youth: Dialogue and Mutual Understanding” has been adopted. The document called to speed among youth ideals of peace, freedom, justice, solidarity, etc.
