Uzbekistan receives 10.3 billion soums from privatization in 1Q

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- In the process of decentralization and privatization, according to the State Property Committee’s data, 26 enterprises and objects (including programme and non- programme objects) were privatized in Uzbekistan in the first quarter of 2011.

The greatest number of objects was privatized in Tashkent city (11 objects), Navoi region (4 objects), Namangan region and Tashkent region (3 objects per each), Kashkadarya region and Ferghana region (2 objects per each).

In the structure of privatized state property, the highest share falls upon objects of local authorities – 20 objects.

Receipts of money from privatization and decentralization amounted to 10.3 billion soums in January-March 2011.

The most part of receipts received from decentralization and privatization fell to share of Tashkent city (57.7% of total receipts), Namangan region (17.8%), Tashkent region (14.5%), Khorezm region (2.7%), , Bukhara region (1.9%), and Kashkadarya region (1.8%).
