Azarenka to face Parmentier in Tashkent final

Top-seeded Belarusian Victoria Azarenka and France’s Pauline Parmentier will go after their first career WTA Tour titles by playing each other in the final of the $145,000 Tashkent Open.
Both won semifinal matches on Saturday. Azarenka, who won the mixed doubles title at the U.S. Open last month, beat fourth-seeded Russian Elena Vesnina, 6-4, 6-2. Parmentier defeated third-seeded Belarusian Olga Govortsova, 6-2, 7-5.
The 2007 champion will claim $21,165.
