Over 140 companies to participate at World Food Uzbekistan and AgroWorld Uzbekistan
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- World Food Uzbekistan 2011 and AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2011 will begin on 29 March at Uzexpocentre in Tashkent. World Food Uzbekistan demonstrates the achievements of the food industry, facilitating increased production and sales of quality food products in Uzbekistan’s consumer market.

AgroWorld Uzbekistan covers virtually every area of the agricultural sector, presenting the latest achievements of the agro-industry to a wide target audience. World Food Uzbekistan 2011 and AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2011 are organised by the international exhibition company ITE Uzbekistan and its partners: ITE Exhibitions & Conferences Ltd. (UK), ITE GiMA (Germany), and ITE EUF (Turkey).

Compared with last year, the interest in the exhibition has grown significantly. The figures this year have reached record levels, with World Food Uzbekistan 2011 and AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2011 together presenting over 140 companies from 28 countries - more than 100 companies at World Food Uzbekistan 2011 and about 40 at AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2011.

There are also 70 newcomers to the exhibition, 48 of them at World Food Uzbekistan 2011 and 22 at AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2011. Among the participating countries are: Austria, Belgium, UK, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Israel, India, Indonesia, Italy, Spain, Kazakhstan, China, Latvia, Malaysia, Netherlands, Poland, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Slovakia, Thailand, Turkey , Uzbekistan, Ukraine, France, South Korea, Japan and Sweden.

Continuing the tradition of last year, for the convenience of our visitors, the exhibitions will be clearly divided into two thematic pavilions - Food Industry in the Central Pavilion and Agriculture in the Atrium Hall and outdoor exhibition area of Uzexpocentre.

World Food Uzbekistan, Uzbekistan’s leading food industry exhibition, will once again be the main showcase of the latest achievements of the industry, and provide new opportunities for business development.

This year, the exhibition will feature a German national stand for the first time, which will present ten manufacturers including companies already well-known in Uzbekistan, such as Big Dutchman, Fritsch, KHS, Kronen and Multivac, and companies present for the first time at World Food Uzbekistan with products made in Germany: Plattenhardt & Wirth, Thermofin, Tipper Tie, Exima and Wachtel. The participation of German companies is supported by the German Federal Ministry for Food, Agriculture and Consumer Protection.

This year, the extensive selection of food products that will be presented at the exhibition includes: oil and fat products, rice, flour, pasta, canned foods, confectionery products, ice cream, sausages, ready meals, ingredients, seasonings and beverages. The newcomers to the food products sector include the Malaysian Palm Oil Board; the European manufacturers Kipco Damaco (Belgium), Global Meat (Hungary), FTI Fish (Latvia), SN Favid and Sa Sodime (France); and producers from the CIS, such as AziyaAgrofood, Tsesna, Vostok and Rakhat from Kazakhstan, Roskon and Maryansk rice factory from Russia. The domestic market in this sector is represented by PSM Group, Muzimpex, Murot Chokolate, Tashkent Oil and fat factory, Mehrigiyo and others.

No less interest will be generated by the range of products on the stands of the companies in the food additives and ingredients sector. By tradition, Schaller (Austria), one of the regular exhibitors is this sector, will be widely presented. Competition will come from foreign companies such as MADO, Suedchemie, Tereza Inter, Efko, Siegwerk, Allvac and KUK Kazakhstan, and domestic companies including Asar, Deling Food and Salar Baraka.

The food equipment sector remains the most important for companies involved in food production. Among the foreign exhibitors in this sector are: MGT Liquid & Process Systems (Israel), ICF Welko (Italy), TECNOFOOD GROUP (Italy), PSS Svidnik (Slovakia), Kutlusan (Turkey), and the newcomer Reveyron (France), which manufactures conveyor belts for conveyor production. The domestic exhibitors include companies presenting a wide range of food, shop and refrigeration equipment: Cool Sistem, Pakografix, R-Keeper, Dom Oborudovaniya, Kholod Sistem Service, Viniks and others.

The professional “Master of Quality” tasting contest is a separate event within the exhibition. The contest was first held in 2008 and has already become popular with exhibitors and visitors. This year, 40 types of product will compete for the title of “Master of Quality”. The contest will be held on 28 March, with a professional jury assessing each product in the following categories: flour and flour products, cereals, oil and fat products, confectionery products, canned foods, food additives and ingredients, juices, beer, and tea. Organisational support for the contest is provided by Uzvinpromholding.

AgroWorld Uzbekistan today remains one of the most successful agricultureal exhibition projects in Uzbekistan. The sixth edition of the exhibition will bring together several agro-industrial areas, taking into account the different needs of market participants. The success of the exhibition is clear: compared with last year, the number of exhibitors has doubled. Visitors will learn about the latest agricultural technologies for processing poultry, milk, meat, grain and vegetables.

As in the past, there is a high level of interest in AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2011 from foreign companies, which can be found in the following sectors: crop production (from nurseries and planting material to protection and fertilisers), and poultry production (from chicks and poultry farm construction to equipment and technology for feeding and care). The crop production sector will include the newcomer Vandeputte NV (Belgium), which each year produces about 5 million plants; Satimex (Germany), a specialist in seed selection; Astrachem (Saudi Arabia), a producer of fertilisers; and Sakata (France), an exporter of seeds whose stand promises to generate a lot of interest. For the exhibition Sakata has prepared a presentation of innovative products: pink tomato hybrids and Kirkma type melons. Karsu, which builds refrigeration plants for the storage of fruits and vegetables, is taking part in the exhibition for the first time.

The poultry production sector will feature: Hellman Poultry (Germany), Big Dutchman (Germany), PE Techna (Ukraine), TH Belagro (Russia/Belarus), Nutristar (France), Pyatigorskselmash (Russia), Imkon Sut Fayz & Imkon Premix (Uzbekistan), Chilanzar parranda (Uzbekistan), Nezhinselmash (Ukraine), and Svit Kormiv (Ukraine).

The agricultural machinery and equipment sector, which each year provides farmers with the opportunity to gain comprehensive information about the latest technological developments, is the most eagerly anticipated sector of the exhibition. A central place in this sector will be occupied by Germany’s CLAAS, one of the largest manufacturers of agricultural machinery in the world – in particular, combine harvesters. Among the other exhibitors in this sector are Maschio Gaspardo (Italy), FARCK SpA (Italy), SPEROTTO SpA (Italy), PETKUS (Kazakhstan), and Donfeng (China), a major manufacturer of tractors.

For the first time, beekeepers in Uzbekistan will be able to see the products of Vita (Europe) Ltd (UK), a developer, manufacturer and supplier of products for the prevention and treatment of bee diseases.

AgroWorld Uzbekistan 2011 will again be a major event, which supports agriculture and farming. The second day of the exhibition will be “Farmers’ Day”, in keeping with the tradition of previous exhibitions. Agro-industry professionals will be able to see a huge variety of products for livestock production, fisheries and veterinary medicine. Representatives of the major farming regions of Uzbekistan have already confirmed their participation in the event. The goods displayed on exhibitors’ stands will help farmers assess the benefits of new agricultural products, and learn what they need to introduce at their own farms.
