In January-December 2010, about 75,400 apartments with the total space of 8.838 million square meters (+16.1% year-on-year), including 6.689 million square meters (+31.4%) of the rural area, were built and put into operation.
In the reporting period, 7,600 apartments with the total space of 904,500 square meters were built and put into operation in the rural area. About 448.2 billion soums of investments were utilized for their construction, of which 272 billion soums or 60.7% of their total volume were credits of Qishlok Qurilish Bank.
Out of the total investments utilized in the non-production sphere, some 408.2 billion soums (9.3% of their total) were used in construction of education establishments, 298.7 billion soums (6.8%) – in communal construction, 322.3 billion soums (7.4%) - in construction of medical establishments.
Some 197.1 billion soums of investments were used for construction and reconstruction of academic lyceums and vocational colleges, which made up 4.5% of investments in the non-production sphere and 48.3% of investments in education.
About 69.9 billion soums of investments were used for new construction and capital reconstruction of hospitals and out-patient departments, 16.1 billion soums – for construction and capital reconstruction of other projects of health care, which made up 21.7% and 5% respectively of investments in public health.
Some 88.7 billion soums were used for construction of water-supply networks, of which 37.8 billion soums – budgetary funds (42.6% of their total volume), 22.2 billion soums - foreign investments and credits (25.1%), 12.7 billion soums – means of population (14.3%); 11.6 billion soums were used for construction of gas networks, of which 11.3 billion soums (90%) - means of population.
In January-December 2010, the construction works were fulfilled to the amount of 8.175 trillion soums, which rose by 8.1% year-on-year.
Out of the total volume of construction works, some 83.1% fell to new constructions, reconstructions, expansion and technical re-equipment of enterprises, 15% – on capital and current repair and 1.9% – on other contract works.
