Uzbek head approves changes to law “On guarantees of entrepreneurship activities’ freedom”
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov signed a law “On introduction of changes to article of the law “On guarantees of entrepreneurship activities’ freedom” on 13 December 2010.

The Legislative Chamber of Oliy Majlis passed the law on 21 October 2010, while Senate passed it on 3 December 2010.

The law is directed at creating new jobs for young specialists, supporting them in conditions of market relations, creating conditions for development of outwork.

The draft law envisages to preserve preferences, guarantees and rights of microfirms and small businesses. The law allows microfirms and small businesses to exceed maximum number of employees, set by the legislation, by 20% if they employ graduates of professional colleges, academic lyceums and higher educational establishments.

At the same time, the document also said that microfirms and small businesses can exceed maximum number of employees by 30% if they sign outwork agreement.

The law will help to stimulate and develop microfirms and small enterprises, increase their share in economy, create new jobs, employment of college, academic lyceums and universities’ graduates, guarantee protection of their interests and rights.
