Uzbekistan to create capacities on LED-lamps
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Uzbekenergo state joint stock company and South Korea’s Semi Lighting Co. LTD will create a joint venture on production of energy-saving light-emitting diode (LED) lamps.

Uzbekenergo and Semi Lighting Co. LTD signed a memorandum of cooperation on creation of the joint venture within the Fourth International Industrial Fair and Cooperation Exchange.

The joint venture will be created on the base of Uzbekenergotamir in early 2011. The investment volume of the project will make up US$20 million.

The enterprise will produce street CDM lamps and domestic LED-lamps. The capacity of the venture will make up 1.5 million street CDM lamps and 83 million domestic LED-lamps a year.

In the first stage, the enterprise will sell its products in internal market and in future it will exports goods to the CIS and European markets.

Semi Lighting Co. LTD was created in 2009. Its charter capital makes up 200 million wons. The company specializes on production and sell of lightening products. According to data, the lightening products market in 2015 will reach US$100 billion.
