Trade turnover of Uzbekistan with the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) reached US$3,953 billion and other countries – US$5.871 billion.
In the reporting period, share of the CIS states in Uzbekistan’s foreign trade was 40.2% (41.8% in January-June 2009) and other countries – 59.8% (58.2%).
At the same time, Uzbekistan exported goods and services for US$6.185 billion in the reporting period and imports made up US$3.639 billion. Share of the CIS countries in export of Uzbekistan fell from 40.8% in the first half of 2009 to 40.5% in the same period of 2010, while share of other states rose from 59.2% to 59.5%.
Share of the CIS states in Uzbekistan’s imports decreased to 39.3% (from 43%) and share of other states grew to 60.1% (57%).
Unbalance in foreign trade was 169.9 percent versus 120.6 percent in the reporting period.
Current trade balance surplus of Uzbekistan made up US$2.545 billion, including US$1.052 billion with the CIS states and US$1.49 billion with other states.
