In line with the annual report, net income of the company was 41.757 billion soums in 2008.

The sales in internal market grew by 26.4% year-on-year and 20% compared to forecast in the business plan. The company sold 12.34 billion cigarettes in 2009 against 9.76 billion in 2008. The growth was connected with high sales of international brands like Kent, Pall Mall and Viceroy.

The company said Pall Mall brand strengthened its position as No. 1 cigarette in Uzbekistan. The sales of this brand rose by 23% compared to forecast in business plan and 33% year-on-year.

The volume of Viceroy sales rose by 33% compared to the company’s business plan. In 2009, the Samarkand Cigarette Plant produced 12.747 billion soums, which grew by 22% year-n-year. The company fully localized supply of packages for all brands, produced in Uzbekistan.

The actual volume of purchased tobacco leaves made up 6,100 tonnes as of December 2009. Export sales of the company made up 650 million cigarettes (business plan executed with 54% surplus) and 4,797 tobacco leaves (business plan executed with 3% surplus).

The plan on export of cigarettes in 2009 was not fulfilled with economic reforms in Turkmenistan, in the result of which imports of all goods in Turkmenistan were suspended. The joint work of company and farm entities helped to receive additional 7,500 hectares of land for tobacco planting.

The company’s revenue rose from 204.934 billion soums in 2008 to 314.992billion soums in 2009, while gross income from goods sales rose from 107.661 billion soums to 169.784 billion soums.

The charter capital of the company was fully formed at the volume of 5.668 billion soums. Total sum of net assets made up 226.133 billion soums. The reserve fund of UZBAT A.O. was formed at the size of 1.417 billion soums. Total size of additional capital was 32.772 billion soums. Retained income of previous years made up 32.031 billion soums.

Total sum directed for payment of dividends to shareholders made up 6.95 billion soums in 2008 and 21.369. billion soums in 2009.
