As part of the visit, Foreign Minister has been scheduled meetings with the Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan, Vladimir Norov, and the Minister of Defence, Kabul Berdiev.

During the meeting, the officials are to discuss both the political dialogue between Latvia and Uzbekistan, and the economic co-operation, including the transit of non-military cargo for the needs of International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) in Afghanistan.
