Over 80 representatives of the countries in the region, international organizations like the UN, OSCE, CIS, CSO, OIC, and other participated at the conference.

The delegates discussed measures related to ensuring non-proliferation regime, controlling weapons, decreasing and eliminating weapons, forming and using of international legal norms, etc.

The final document of the conference said the security in the region is prerogative of the countries in Central Asia and Caspian Basin region. The participants also discussed implementation of agreement on nuclear-free zone in Central Asia.
