Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com ) -- A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov, convened a meeting with Woo-Sik Jung, Head of the IT Business Department at Posco DX in South Korea.

Posco DX stands as a vanguard in propelling digital transformation throughout South Koreaʼs industry by integrating foundational technologies such as IT and OT, artificial intelligence, Big Data, digital twins, metaverse, and robotics. Established in 1989, the company presently caters to domestic markets in the USA and South Korea, along with several Asian nations. By the conclusion of 2023, the companyʼs workforce exceeds 5,000 employees.

The meeting centered on Uzbekistanʼs key advantages in conducting global IT business, encompassing its strategic location, favorable entrepreneurial conditions, and extensive opportunities actively supported by the state.

Mahliyo Muksinova, Director of Export Development at IT Park, expounded upon the favorable conditions tailored for foreign enterprises, alongside the adept specialists in our country.

Throughout the meeting, both parties affirmed their readiness to collaboration, with Posco DX delegates expressing intent to establish a company office in our country, leveraging Uzbek IT specialists. Woo-Sik Jung underscored the nationʼs human resources potential, adept at tackling intricate challenges owing to their technical acumen and linguistic proficiency. Posco DX plans to cultivate local talent through its own training programs for further employment in its office.

Moreover, Posco DX representatuves commended governmental measures aimed at fostering a conducive ecosystem for technological enterprises in Uzbekistan, alongside the stateʼs receptivity to enhancing business environment efficacy.

Conclusively, Sherzod Shermatov extended an invitation to Woo-Sik Jung to visit Uzbekistan, facilitating deeper immersion into Uzbekistanʼs IT sector and deliberation over forthcoming collaboration plans.
