Popular car models become cheaper in Uzbekistan, including Onix, Cobalt, and Kia
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Experts from the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies (IMRS) under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan have analyzed price changes on the secondary automobile market in March 2025.
Price drops for popular domestic cars observed in Uzbekistan
In March of this year, the decline in average prices for popular domestic vehicles continued compared to January:
Onix: high-mileage vehicles dropped by US$1,000 (from US$13,172 to US$12,170), low-mileage ones by US$400 (from US$14,900 to US$14,500);
Lacetti: high mileage down by US$300 (from US$13,500 to US$13,200), medium by US$200 (from US$14,500 to US$14,300), low by US$150 (from US$15,000 to US$14,850);
Cobalt: medium mileage down by US$339 (from US$12,339 to US$12,000), high by US$100 (from US$11,600 to US$11,500), low by US$70 (from US$12,750 to US$12,680);
Nexia: medium mileage down by US$600 (from US$11,500 to US$10,900), high by US$284 (from US$10,784 to US$10,500);
Spark: medium mileage down by US$100 (from US$10,500 to US$10,400), high by US$100 (from US$9,600 to US$9,500);
Damas: medium mileage down by US$134 (from US$8,000 to US$7,866), low by US$61 (from US$8,061 to US$8,000).
Price Changes for Domestic Luxury Vehicles
Prices also fell in March compared to January for luxury-class models:
Equinox: low mileage down by US$2,400 (from US$35,500 to US$33,100), medium by US$1,000 (from US$31,000 to US$30,000), high by US$466 (from US$27,300 to US$26,834);
Malibu: low mileage down by US$313 (from US$32,313 to US$32,000);
Tracker: high mileage down by US$723 (from US$16,923 to US$16,200), medium by US$382 (from US$17,882 to US$17,500).
At the same time, Malibu with medium mileage increased in price by US$150 (from US$29,150 to US$29,300), while prices for Malibu with high mileage (US$26,000) and Tracker with low mileage (US$18,000) remained unchanged.
Electric Vehicle Price Decline
During the reporting period, the drop in prices for new and lightly used electric vehicles accelerated:
BYD E2 (new): down by US$800 (from US$16,800 to US$16,000);
BYD Han: medium mileage down by US$1,100 (from US$35,000 to US$33,900), new down by US$650 (from US$32,150 to US$31,500);
BYD Song Plus DM-i Champion: medium mileage down by US$1,200 (from US$25,500 to US$24,300), new by US$600 (from US$28,200 to US$27,600);
BYD Song Plus EV Champion: new down by US$675 (from US$28,000 to US$27,325), medium mileage by US$500 (from US$26,000 to US$25,500);
BYD Yuan Up: new down by US$200 (from US$20,800 to US$20,600), medium mileage by US$225 (from US$19,000 to US$18,775).
Price Drops for Foreign Cars
Compared to January, significant price decreases were recorded in March for several Kia models, including the Sportage, K5, Sorento, and Seltos:
Kia Sorento: high mileage down by US$3,000 (from US$38,000 to US$35,000), low mileage by US$3,000 (from US$47,500 to US$44,500);
Kia Sportage: low mileage down by US$1,750 (from US$31,750 to US$30,000), high by US$1,233 (from US$29,733 to US$28,500), medium by US$678 (from US$31,178 to US$30,500);
Kia K5: medium mileage down by US$1,200 (from US$27,500 to US$26,300), high by US$900 (from US$26,000 to US$25,100);
Kia Seltos: medium mileage down by US$1,350 (from US$26,000 to US$24,650), high by US$500 (from US$24,000 to US$23,500), low by US$550 (from US$25,800 to US$25,250).
