Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- On 15 May 2023, a regular meeting of the Central Election Commission was held on the snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The meeting was attended by authorized representatives of political parties. This was reported by the press service of the Central Election Commission.

The meeting considered the issue of allowing political parties to participate in snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In accordance with the Electoral Code, the Central Election Commission, after considering documents on participation in the snap elections of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, submitted by the People’s Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Movement of Entrepreneurs and Business People - the Liberal Democratic Party of Uzbekistan, the Social Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Adolat", the Ecological Party Uzbekistan, as well as the Democratic Party of Uzbekistan "Milliy Tiklanish" allowed these parties to participate in the presidential elections of the Republic of Uzbekistan, which will be held on 9 July 2023, and adopted a corresponding resolution.

Also, after the meeting, authorized representatives of political parties were issued registration certificates and forms of signature sheets.

Resolutions adopted at the meeting will be posted on the official website of the Central Electoral Commission, and information about them will be published in the central press.
