MPs discussed speech of the President of Uzbekistan Islam Karimov at the session of the government dedicated to the results of 2012 and tasks for 2013, as well as at the event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of Constitution of Uzbekistan.

After discussions, MPs adopted recommendation that Legislative Chamber should approve a programme of legislative and control-analytical work for 2013.

MPs proposed to develop special plans on each measure, included to the programme of legislative and control-analytical work for 2013, and ensure implementation of them, etc.

Members of Legislative Chamber discussed a draft laws “On election of chairpersons of citizens’ gatherings and their advisors” (new edition), “On introduction of changes and amendments, as well as abolishment of some legislative acts”, “On introduction of changes to article 10 of the law “On insurance activity”, ““On introduction of changes and amendments to Economic Procedural Code of Uzbekistan”.

MPs also discussed reports of activities of Human Rights Commissionaire of oliy Majlis (Ombudsman) and Legislative Chamber in 2012.

Political factions and MPs Group of Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan developed their positions on each considered issue at the sessions.
