Political factions discuss execution of state budget in 2014, 1Q 2015
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Political parties and MPs Group from Ecological Movement of Uzbekistan held sessions to discuss execution of the state budget and budgets of the state targeted funds in 2014 and in the first quarter of 2015.

At the sessions, it was underlined that high tempo of economic growth, macroeconomic balance, modernization and diversification of the economy were achieved, which helped to growth of employment and income of population and execution of the state budget with surplus.

At the session of the UzLiDeP, it was noted measures, undertaken to improve business environment for small and private businesses.

Increasing number of workers, which small business can employ, from 100 to 200 people helped to stimulate development of entrepreneurship. Uzbekistan moved eight places up in doing business ranking and on taxation issues by 61 places.

In the first quarter, number of newly created enterprises reached 8,000, which grew by 10.2% year-on-year. The small businesses received banking loans for 2.8 trillion soums, which rose 1.3 times year-on-year. About 55 state assets for 28.3 billion soums were sold to private owners, while 13 objects were handed over on zero redemption price under investment obligation for 9.7 billion soums.

It was said that the share of small and private businesses rose from 31% in 2000 to 56% in 2014, while in industrial production – from 12.9% to 31.1%.

At the session of Milliy Tiklanish, it was said that the state budget issued 1.616 trillion soums to reforms and diversification of economy in 2014 and 411.9 billion soums in the first three months of 2015.

Some 153 large objects for US$4.2 billion were launched in leading industries of Uzbekistan in 2014, which were equipped with modern equipment. Active investment policy and works on modernization of the capacities were also conducted in the first quarter of 2015.

About 346.6 billion soums were issued from state budget to finance self-governing bodies in 2014, which rose by 22.4% year-on-year. The figure reached 78.4 billion soums in the first quarter of 2015.

People’s Democratic Party’s session said that the state budget issued funds to development of social sphere in 2014 and the first quarter of 2015. It was said that 18.494 trillion soums were issued to social sphere and social support of population, which made up 58.8% of total volume of expenses in 2014. In the first quarter, about 56.7% of total expenses were directed to this sphere, which improve level and quality of the life of population, including vulnerable layers of population. About 593 billion soums were directed to medical and social services of elder people in the first quarter of 2015, the session said.

Faction of Adolat Party said that over 4.507 trillion soums or 24.4% from all expenses, directed to social sphere, were used to development of healthcare, which grew by 21.5% year-on-year. The figure reached 1.038 trillion soums or 24.1% from all expenses to social sector were used in healthcare sector, which rose by 19% year-on-year.

Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan noted that 547.2 billion soums were directed to protection of environment in 2014 and 158.5 billion soums in the first quarter of 2015. About 7.1 billion soums were used to protect flora and fauna in 2014 and 264.2 billion soums to improve land-reclamation, 1.3 billion – protection of land from water and wind erosion.

At the sessions, the factions of political parties and MPs Group of Ecologic Movement of Uzbekistan adopted corresponding decisions.
