POLANDEXPO UZBEKISTAN 2011 to be held in Tashkent in May
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Third Poland National Exhibition “POLANDEXPO UZBEKISTAN 2011” will be held at the UzExpoCenter in Tashkent on 25-28 May 2011, chairperson of the Promotion Center under the Polish Chamber of Commerce Bojena Vrublevska said in Tashkent on 6 May.

Ministry of Economy of Poland, Promotion Center under the Polish Chamber of Commerce organized the exhibition at the assistance of the Department on assisting trade and investment of Poland Embassy in Tashkent.

Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan, Ministry of Foreign Economic Relations, Investment and Trade of Uzbekistan, Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Uzbekistan, Uzexpocenter also assisted in organization of the event.

The exhibition is aimed at displaying export potential of Polish companies and firms, first of all in those industries, which has real perspectives of development of Polish-Uzbek trade and economic cooperation.

Poland National Exhibition is also directed at assisting to expand direct mutual contacts, further development of partnership relations between businesses of two countries.

Bojena Vrublevska underlined that Polish Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Waldemar Pawlak and Agriculture and Rural Development Minister Marek Sawicki provided honourable patronage from Polish side. She added that Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev provided honourable patronage from the Uzbek side.

Over 40 companies from all regions of Poland will participate in the exhibition. They are operating in such sectors as agriculture and food production, mini-technologies and equipment, fuel-energy, oil and gas, chemical industry, construction, healthcare, veterinary, insurance, financial sector and others.

Among the participants, there are companies, which participated in Polish National Exhibitions, international industrial exhibitions in Tashkent. There are also companies, which are arriving in Uzbekistan for the first time.

Bojena Vrublevska said that 40% of the exhibitors are working in Uzbekistan. She added that other companies want to familiarize in the market of Uzbekistan and want to work here.

Head of the Department on assisting trade and investment of Poland Embassy in Tashkent Slawomir Strzalkowski said Poland-Uzbek Business Forum will be held within the exhibition, which will be attended by exhibitors and other Polish businesses.

Slawomir Strzalkowski underlined that a mission, including 20 Polish firms, will arrive in Uzbekistan to participate at the forum. He said that Uzbekistan and Poland agreed to hold forum in business environment and pay attention to business talks between the Uzbek and Polish companies.

First Poland National Exhibition was held in Uzbekistan in October 2004 and the second – in October 2007.
