Pilgrims from Uzbekistan return home
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Last group of pilgrims returned to Uzbekistan on 24 November 2011, the Committee on Religious Affairs of the Cabinet of Ministers of Uzbekistan said.

According to the committee, some 5,094 Pilgrims from Uzbekistan, including 15 on free basis, conducted Hajj rituals this year.

The committee added that Committee on Religious Affairs, Ministry of Healthcare, Uzbekistan Havo Yollari and Uzbekistan Muslims’ Board and others were attracted to organize comfortable and secure travel of pilgrims from Uzbekistan and Saudi Arabia and vice-versa.

It added that the Uzbek pilgrims were accompanied by 10 cooks and 30 doctors. About 30 people were responsible for organizational issues during pilgrimage.

Uzbek pilgrims started their pilgrimage in Medina. They stayed three nights and four days in Medina and moved to Mecca.

In Mecca, pilgrims started at Abroj al-Muhammadiyya Hotel, which is located 4,500-5,000 meters from Al-Masjid al-Haram. At the hotel, pilgrims were provided three meals a day and fruits, tea, and water.

The working group organized mini medical clinic, which was fully equipped with medical equipment and medicaments. Doctors were on duty during 24 hours.

At tent city in Mina, at Arafat, Uzbek pilgrims stayed at comfortable night quarters and provided with hot food and drinks. They were regularly examined by doctors.

The working group organized buses for comfortable and secure movement of pilgrims as they transported pilgrims to sights. Special searching group searched for lost pilgrims.

On 6-8 November, the working group organized visit of the pilgrims (250 person in one group) to Jamarat, throwing stone to devil.

After conducting all rituals, luggage of pilgrims in agreement with Uzbekiston Havo Yollari were collected at hotel and sent to Jeddah Airport. Pilgrims received their luggage in Tashkent.
