Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 10 September, a group of pilgrims from Uzbekistan flew to Saudi Arabia to perform Umrah, the minor pilgrimage.
The first flight of pilgrims for the Umrah-2024 season departed from Tashkent International Airport to Saudi Arabia.
This flight carried 240 pilgrims from the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Kashkadarya, Fergana, Bukhara regions, and the city of Tashkent to Jeddah.
During their stay, the pilgrims will be supported by four experienced staff members and group leaders (imam-khatibs), as well as two qualified doctors.
The pilgrims will be accommodated in modern hotels: in Medina at the Grand Shahba Hotel, and in Mecca at the Al-Ayyam Elite and Marmara Hotel. They will receive three hot meals a day, along with sweets and fresh fruit.
Over the course of 11 days, the pilgrims will engage in worship at the two sacred mosques and visit holy sites in Mecca and Medina.
