Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- From the 2021-2022 academic year, a curriculum on the subject of pilgrim tourism will be developed and introduced into practice for 3-4 year students of higher educational institutions specializing in foreign languages. This is stated in the decree of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan No. 100 "On additional measures for the development of domestic and pilgrim tourism."
At the same time, the International University of Tourism of the Silk Road in Samarkand will train specialists in the direction of "Management of cultural, natural and mixed heritage", and Bukhara, Samarkand, Fergana and Urgench state universities - in the direction of "Archeology".
In addition, retraining courses in pilgrim tourism will be organized at universities for graduates of philological faculties with the study of the language of promising countries in pilgrim tourism on a paid basis
