Physiotherapist from Netherlands joins Uzbekistan national team

Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Physical therapist from the Netherlands Chima Onyeike was appointed as the coach for physical training of Uzbekistan national football team, the press service of Uzbekistan Football Federation (UFF) said.

According to the UFF, the head coach of Uzbekistan Samvel Babayan invited the Dutch specialist in connection with the epidemic of injuries in the national team and to improve the physical fitness of players.

Chima Onyeike will be responsible for the physical form of the players and should create conditions for the head coach to field the optimal squad.

A native of Nigeria is a trainer in athleticism and fitness. In 2011-2013 he worked in the Makhachkala Anji as assistant to Guus Hiddink and Roberto Carlos. After that he worked in such teams as PAOK (Greece) and Stuttgart (Germany).
