Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The National Museum of China is the largest museum in the country (65,000 m²).

The museum is located on the eastern part of Tiananmen Square in Beijing and is run by the Ministry of Culture of the People's Republic of China.

The main purpose of the museum is to preserve and popularize Chinese art and history.

Its collection contains more than 620,000 valuable exhibits, covering the history of China for more than 5,000 years.

Among them are objects associated with prehistoric times, such as the 1.7-million-year-old Yuanmou> Man.
