Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) - For the first time taking part in the competition “Best Photo of the Month” (Bild des Monats), held by the popular daily newspaper Saar of the Saarbrücker Zeitung, the German traveler Albrecht Eckstein from Schwalbach immediately became its winner.

And a photograph taken in Uzbekistan helped him in this. The work of the amateur photographer impressed the jury and the survey participants so much that it gained the most votes in the competition.

According to the jury, “the beautiful color of the colors and the fact that clarity and at the same time“ some shade of blurring ”are well used to give an additional mysterious charm to the image” were crucial for determining the winner.

Albrecht Eckstein himself warmly recalls his trip to Uzbekistan. Then he was impressed by the hospitable and friendly Uzbek people, the diversity of the cultural and historical wealth of our country.

“There, I seemed to be in a fairy tale from the Thousand and One Nights,” the winner quotes the words of “Saarbrücker Zeitung”.
