The event was organized by the Preeminent Representative Office of Uzbekistan at the UN and Consulate General in New York. Some 200 guests, including 60 heads of diplomatic missions and head of councils, representatives of international organizations, academic, business and cultural circles of the USA attended the event.

The exhibition included over 50 unique photos of modern and ancient Uzbekistan and it attracted huge interest of the guests. Many of them noted that the exhibition allowed them to tour Uzbekistan virtually and familiarize with the sites of ancient cities of Great Silk Road.

Copies of the book “Fund Forum presents Uzbekistan” were presented to the chairperson of the 66th session of the UN General Assembly Nassir Abdulaziz Al-Nasser, heads of Uzbek and Bukhara Jews Diasporas.

At the event, the guests also had chance to taste national classical Uzbek cuisine, Fund Forum said.

The photo exhibition in New York will last till 2 September and foreign diplomats and employees of the UN agencies can visit it.
