Representative office was opened within the framework of the official visit of the Vietnam Vice-Premier Hoang Chung Hai to Uzbekistan.

As earlier reported, Petrovietnam and Uzbekneftegaz inked contract, in line with which Vietnamese company will drill three wells for exploration over the next five years in the Kossor block covering 5500 square kilometres. The Vietnamese firm will invest US$30 million to this project.
