The seminar was held within the Fifth Republican Fair of Innovative ideas, technologies and projects and it was attended by MPs, researchers, representatives of state bodies, etc.

It was noted that scientific researches and rational use of scientific achievements help to introduce mechanisms on protection of environment and achievement of ecologic sustainability.

The resolution of the Uzbek President “On additional measures on stimulating introduction of innovative projects and technologies into production” from 15 July 2008 serve as important factor for expanding scales of conducted work in the area. Uzbekistan’s rich natural potential allows to use alternative sources of energy such as solar and wind energy, as well as biogas technologies.

At the Fifth Republican Fair of Innovative ideas, technologies and projects, over 20 ideas and development in alternative energy area have been presented. Among them are technologies on production of energy from sun and wind, biogas technologies, etc.

During the seminar, the participants presented information on use of alternative energy, support of small businesses in use of renewable energy, results of scientific researches, and others.
