Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Pep Guardiola has expressed his admiration for Abdulkodir Khusanov, who joined Manchester City in January.

The head coach noted that the Uzbek defender has already showcased his qualities and is adapting well to the team’s demands.

"Khusanov arrived and immediately played against Chelsea, Newcastle, Real Madrid, and Liverpool—tough matches, especially considering where he came from. He still has some communication issues since he doesn’t speak English fluently, but he’s already making a positive impact on the team," Guardiola stated.

The coach emphasized that the transfer activity is not part of a major squad overhaul and that he does not see it as his biggest coaching challenge.

"We’ve done this before. Over the past nine years, Manchester City has not remained the same as it was at the beginning. We have rebuilt the squad two or three times, so this is not the biggest challenge."

"The toughest moment was at the very start of my coaching career when my staff and I had to solve numerous issues. But we managed and proved to ourselves that we were capable," Guardiola concluded.
