Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — President Shavkat Mirziyoyev has ordered the immediate expansion of the “Xalq nazorati” (“People’s Control”) digital platform to all regions of Uzbekistan. The directive was announced during a government meeting held on Monday.

The project implementation has been assigned to the Accounts Chamber, which must ensure the platform's launch across the entire country within one month, building on the successful model piloted in Tashkent.

Xalq nazorati is a comprehensive digital tool that allows citizens to report issues related to construction, public amenities, and infrastructure. Users can submit complaints with photos and specific locations, while local authorities are required to upload photo reports confirming the resolution of each issue. This enables daily performance monitoring of local leaders based on their responsiveness and quality of service.

The platform will be integrated with digital systems of all ministries, agencies, and local authorities, serving as a unified channel for collecting and processing public feedback and complaints.

Originally launched in Tashkent on February 16, 2020, by the city’s Department of Digital Development, Xalq nazorati has proven to be an effective feedback mechanism between citizens and government. In May 2023, expansion plans for seven more regions were announced, and by December, the President had called for further development and modernization of the system.

The platform regularly publishes reports, including weekly summaries and annual performance reviews. Media outlets have highlighted the system’s achievements for 2023 and 2024, citing an increase in resolved complaints and greater transparency in local governance.
