Number of banking cards increased twice year-on-year, UzA reported quoting head of the banking cards department of People’s Bank Bakhodir Pulatov.

Pulatov said People’s Bank installed its terminals mainly at trade, service and catering enterprises. Currently, the bank is working on installation of additional 2,500 terminals.

Transactions with banking cards rose 7.5 times year-on-year as of 1 November 2009, the bank official said.
