President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a resolution “On measures on further improving mechanism of payment of pensions and allowances” on 13 March.

According to the resolution, Uzbekiston Pochtasi will hand over payments of pensions, social allowances, compensations and other payments in cash, financed due to off-budget Pension Fund under the Ministry of Finance, to divisions of the People’s Bank.

The resolution said that the special cash offices on payment of pensions and allowances in cash form will be created in the buildings of mahallas and other administrative buildings.

Employees of the People’s Bank will deliver pensions and allowances to people, who could move independently.

Uzbek leader entrusted Central Bank to provide necessary cash for payments of pensions and allowances to the People’s Bank.

People’s Bank will increase number of employees and necessary equipment, as well as 590 Damas mini-buses. The bank will also create cash collection service.
