Pensions, allowances and scholarships to be paid in cash from February
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- All pensions in Uzbekistan will be paid fully in cash without any limitations from February 2017.

President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a decree “On additional measures to improve the payment mechanism of wages, pensions, allowances and scholarships”.

From February 2017, the payment of pensions will be carried out in cash in full without any restrictions. The pensions should be paid by 27th day of corresponding month.

The document said that salaries of the state budget organizations, located in 58 mountainous and remote areas, will be also paid in cash.

Half of the stipends of students of higher educational establishments will be paid in cash, the resolution said.

The Uzbek leader said that payment of salaries in cash and cashless form will be critically analyzed. The document said that the people should have no problems in purchasing products and services with use of the banking cards.

Central Bank and commercial banks to carry out work to eliminate violations and shortages, related to payment of salaries, pensions, allowances and scholarships.

President also ordered to ensure uninterrupted issue of money resources to business entities from their accounts.

General Prosecutor’s Office will control timely and full payment of salaries, pensions, allowances and scholarships.

Simultaneously, the resolution envisages development and implementation of a wide range of systemic measures, aimed at full and timely receipt of cash by the commercial banks from trade and services enterprises, in order to ensure that the commercial banks have cash for the payment of wages, pensions and other social payments.
