Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Starting from 1 April 2023, pensioners in Uzbekistan will be able to use the right to free travel during the entire operation of the Tashkent metro.

The President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev signed a corresponding resolution on 15 March  2023.

According to the document, the state budget of Uzbekistan will cover the revenues of the Tashkent metro lost in connection with this.

Since March 2017, pensioners of Uzbekistan have been enjoying the right to free travel in the Tashkent metro from 10:00 to 16:00. To do this, it is enough to have a pension certificate.
