Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — On 30 March, a traffic accident occurred in the Andijan region, where a driver of a Cobalt vehicle struck a minor pedestrian. This was reported by the regional traffic safety department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

The incident took place in the Khodjaabad district on the A-373 highway. A 16-year-old teenager was crossing the road at a regulated pedestrian crossing when the Cobalt vehicle hit him, despite the pedestrian having the green signal at the traffic light.

As a result of the accident, the injured teenager was taken to the hospital with various injuries.

Law enforcement authorities are conducting an investigation into the incident.
