Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- Telegram founder Pavel Durov has arrived in Uzbekistan. Photos of Pavel Durov have surfaced on social media, taken at a gym in Tashkent.
Blogger Gusein Gasanov, who accompanied Durov on his trip to Kyrgyzstan, posted an image of the Uzbekistan flag, suggesting Durov's arrival in Uzbekistan.
It's known that Pavel Durov previously announced his plans to visit Central Asian countries. Recently, he visited Kyrgyzstan.
In his Telegram channel, Durov wrote about his admiration for the people and nature of Kyrgyzstan, which he called the true gem of Central Asia. "We walked a lot and rode horses in the mountains and around Lake Issyk-Kul. I noticed that Kyrgyzstan is developing very rapidly, expanding valuable infrastructure across the country," he added.
Pavel Durov also noted that more than half of the country's population uses Telegram monthly, and the platform's popularity has grown by 30% in the last four months. "We met with local telecommunications leaders and discussed ways to improve the Telegram user experience in Kyrgyzstan," Durov shared.
