Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- The President signed Decree "On measures for the effective organization of state management in the field of water management within the framework of administrative reforms."

Until 2030, a phased transfer to PPP of such functions of the district level of the Ministry of Water Resources as water resources management, the supply of water to farms and other water users, as well as water accounting will be carried out.

From 1 August 2023, verification of compliance with the procedure for water use and water consumption, as well as the effective use of water-saving irrigation technologies, will be carried out by the Inspectorate for Control over the Safety of Water Management Facilities and Water Use under the Ministry of Water Resources without registration in the Unified State Control information system.

The Inspectorate has the right to consider cases of administrative offenses on the facts of violation of the rules for the use of surface water and water consumption and the procedure for water withdrawal, as well as apply administrative penalties to individuals.
