The Uzbek delegation visited France on 28 October 2016 and held negotiations with the French MPs, official bodies, political, business and scientific-academic circles of France.

Within the visit, the roundtable entitled “Presidential elections in Uzbekistan: election campaign 2016” was held at the Embassy of Uzbekistan in Paris.

Representatives of Senate and National Assembly of France, French bodies, French Institute of International Relations, universities and other organizations attended the event.

The roundtable participants were familiarized with preparations to the presidential elections in Uzbekistan, which will be held on 4 December 2016. It is expected that observes from CIS, SCO, OIC, OSCE, other organizations and countries will observe the elections.

The French side also received information on social-economic development and reforms in Uzbekistan. The French side highly rated reforms in the country.
