The 26-year-old attacking midfielder joins the ACL ever-presents from Serbian side Smederevo. He impressed the Central Asians during his trial when he played for them in the CIS Cup against Rubin in Moscow in January this year.

Djalilov expressed confidence in his new signing saying, “I am sure that he will quickly adapt to our style of play and prove his worth.”

“Al Ittihad are one of the biggest clubs of Asia as they have won the AFC Champions League twice but we also would like to win this premier competition,” he said about their quarter-final opponents.

“There are no easy rivals at this stage of the competition. We will study their videos and try to secure a semi-final berth.”
