Pakhtakor presents new players
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) -- ACL ever-presents Pakhtakor have strengthened their squad for this year’s continental campaign by including four new players on Thursday.

The Uzbekistan Cup winners’ new Montenegrin coach Miodrag Radulovic has included local midfielders Mukimjon Tashmatov, Asqar Jadigerov, Turkmenistan striker Artur Gevorkyan and Serbian Milorad Janjus.

Twenty-two year old Tashmatov joins the ACL Group C hopefuls from Uzbek League outfit Sogdiana while Jadigerov, 30, comes from Andijan.

Before moving to Pakhtakor, Gevorkyan played in Uzbekistan for Shurtan while 27-year-old Janjus left Serbian side Spartak Zlatibor Voda to join the Uzbeks.

Meanwhile, Radulovic has set the stiff target of winning all the domestic and continental competitions his men play in with an emphasis on attacking football.

“Our goal in the AFC Champions League is to win every match and the title. I want my team to play attacking football and now our main focus is not the league opener against champions Bunyodkor but the ACL opening match against UAE’s Al Ain next week,” Radulovic said.

“I have faith in my players and I believe in their strengths. They have the ability to achieve our target.”

Pakhtakor will train in Sharjah, UAE, till their match against Al Ain on 24 February.
