Pakhtakor-1997 participates at Turkmenistan President Cup
Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) --
Club of the Academy of Pakhtakor Tashkent, which comprises of players born in 1997, started its participation at the Turkmenistan President Cup, Uzbekistan Football Federation said.
On 11 September, the Uzbek club played their first match against Belarus youth team and clinched a 2-1 victory.
Pakhtakor-1997 will play against Tajikistan youth team in the second round and the group stage will be concluded with the game against Russian youth team.
The second group comprises of Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, Iran and Kuwait.
According to the tournament rules, two teams from each group will advance to semifinals.
