Tashkent, Uzbekistan (UzDaily.com) — Minister of Culture of Uzbekistan Ozodbek Nazarbekov has been awarded the title of People’s Artist of Kyrgyzstan.

The corresponding decree was signed by Kyrgyzstan’s President Sadyr Japarov.

Along with Nazarbekov, Farangiz Makhmudova, a senior lecturer at the Department of Traditional Makom Performance at the Uzbekistan National Institute of Musical Art named after Yunus Rajabi, has been honored with the title of Honored Artist of Kyrgyzstan.

These titles were awarded for significant contributions to the development of cultural ties and for strengthening friendship and cooperation between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan in the field of art.
